Arcata & Rooney-McKinleyville Children's Centers (ARMCC) is a private,
non-profit agency that is funded by the State Department of Education, the Child
Care Food Program, fees for services, fundraising-projects and contributions
from foundations and private donors. We are committed to helping children be
happy and productive in all aspects of their lives while they are growing with
us, and we believe that open and frequent communication among staff, parents and
children fosters a sense of community conductive to learning and the nurturing
of self-esteem for everyone.
ARMCC is governed by a seven member Board of Directors that determines policy
and reviews long-range goals for the the agency. Each facility is supervised by
a Center Director, who, as well as being a Teacher, is responsible for the
management and supervision of the program and the facilities.
